Welcome to Lion:Bit

Empowering Innovators

Lion:Bit is a pocket-sized computer that introduces you to how software and hardware work together. It has an LCD display, buttons, sensors and many input/output features. when programmed, let it interact with you and your world. You can code, customize, and control your Lion:Bit from anywhere! You can use your Lion:Bit for all sorts of unique creations, from robots to musical instruments and more.

The Lion:Bit is the most recent project by the DegitalAcademy in an effort to bring computer science education and STEM topics to every student in the Sri Lanka. It is an open development board that works in sync with other onboard hardware components to get you started down the path of programming hardware.

Development Board Amezing Features

This processor has two CPU cores (can be individually controlled), operates at 80 to 240 MHz adjustable clock frequency and performs at up to 600 DMIPS (Dhrystone Million Instructions Per Second). Up to 240MHz Clock Freq, There’s also 448 KB of ROM, 520 KB of SRAM and 4MB of Flash memory (for program and data storage) 802.11b/g/n HT40 Wi-Fi transceiver, Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE/Bluetooth Smart)
The pins can be configured as either inputs or outputs. 5V and 3.3V D4,D5,D6,D7,D8,D9,D10,D11
Three 5V, Two 3.3V, Three Ground PIN
5V to 3.3V Jumpers it allows you to use deferent type of sensor in market
Switch A, B Push Button for Input, Small push buttons can be used to add extra inputs to your Lion:bit. Push buttons, like the ones on your micro:bit (labelled A & B), are said to be momentary as the button needs to be held down to close (or complete) the circuit.
TFT LCD displays deliver bright, vivid colors and have the ability to show quick animations, complex graphics, and custom fonts. TFT displays are full color LCDs and available in industry standard sizes 128 x 128, This small display packs 128x128 full-color pixels into one square inch of active display area. It is a great choice when you need color and sharp detail while using minimal front panel space.
While the main function of the analog pins for most Arduino users is to read analog sensors, the analog pins also have all the functionality of general purpose input/output (GPIO) pins (the same as digital pins 0 - 13). this has 6 Analog Pins A0,A1,A2,A3,A4,A5
It has 2 Touch pins and that can detect touch. They operate as a switch when touched
All pins can be used as PWM Pins. Pulse Width Modulation, or PWM, is a technique for getting analog results with digital means. Digital control is used to create a square wave, a signal switched between on and off.
